Here you will find frequently asked questions about Timeless Tins’ custom tin packaging processes, shipping and logistics.
Q: What are the minimum order quantities for a custom tin?
A: Minimums start at 3,000-5,000 pieces. The smaller the tin the higher the minimums. For example, a large cookie tin or a popcorn bucket will have lower minimums than a small mint tin.
Q: Can you send me a price list?
A: Sorry, there is no “price list”. Each order is custom. The final price per piece is determined by numerous factors such as size, shape, tin execution, quantity, destination and other details. Provide us details of your requirements and we will get back to you with available options for your specific needs.
Q: What is included in the pricing?
A: All Timeless Tins quotes are “priced per piece”. Pricing includes mass production, sea freight, customs and duty, tariffs (if any), land freight, insurance and delivery to your warehouse door.
Q: Do you carry stock tins?
A: No. Timeless Tins specializes in custom tin packaging. We carry no inventory or stock tins.
Q: What are the lead times for a custom printed tin package?
A: From sign off of artwork to delivery to your warehouse door plan on a minimum 10-12 weeks. We recommend allowing your team approx. 3 months lead time to avoid any disappointment due to delays beyond our control (i.e. storms, port congestions, strikes, customs inspections).
Q: In which currency do you conduct business?
A: All quotes and prices are in US dollars.
Q: What if I need a unique size or shape requiring a new mold?
A: No problem. There is a nominal one-time investment required for a new mold. We first develop a PVC prototype of the tin box, then produce a tin sample, then develop the new mold.
Q: Can I supply artwork from my designer?
A: Absolutely. We will supply, upon confirmed order, a die line (layout) for your designer to populate. Our design department and print master will confirm the die line prior to mass production.
Q: Can you help me design my custom tin package?
A: Yes. Our designers can work with you to develop a stunning work of art for your custom tin.
Q: Can I get a sample of the custom tin in which I’m interested?
A: Yes. Call us to discuss the details and we’ll produce a custom sample for you.
Q: Are your custom tin cans food safe?
Q: Can you supply accessories for my custom tins?
A: Yes, we can supply inserts (sponge, foam and PET), hang tags, ribbons, PET windows, labels and more. Let us know what you need.
Q: How will my custom tins be packed for shipping?
A: Usually each individual tin is packed in a poly bag or tissue paper placed in “egg carton style” export boxes and are loaded into a shipping container (sea can). We are able to accommodate any special packing requests, just let us know what you need.
